CRM and ERP combination

Manufactures center their IT strategy on systems which increase energy. Since producing and shipping products skillfully is the foundation of a business, mid-market engineers are now exploring and adopting CRM and combining its features with ERP, (Enterprise Resource Planning). Rather than focusing on increased energy, businesses are working on improving marketing sales and service. CRM must fit with ERP. Before deciding to enchase your business with such a combination you should consider price.

The cost of CRM software alone or as part as an ERP system for mid-market manufactures can range dramatically. Depending on your company’s size, installation may range as low as ten thousand to dollars the high one hunded thousands. There are packages and vendors whom will work with you to adapt the software to fit your business needs for specific vertical market in both discreet and process manufacturing.

A vendor may discuss one’s current business processes and point out what is believed to be the best process. Though customization on CRM is nearly endless, ten percent has to remain intact. CRM and ERP must both be integrated together to work properly. If your goal is to lessen your sales cycle for example, you must enable your outside sales force to provide accurate, instant quotes for customers. It is impossible to accomplish this task if your salespeople do not have real-time access to inventory lists and current price.

There are two basic options when it comes to integrating CRM with your ERP system. One, you can implement a software suite (ERP with a CRM module), or you can choose to integrate “best of breed” products, (stand alone products which reach into your CRM system).
